Amazema Interiors is a boutique Real Estate Property Styling and Interior Consulting firm, based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

We create beautiful, contemporary spaces for our clients in both Real Estate Styling and Interior Consulting.

When styling your home, we take great care in making sure your property reaches its full potential. We know the sales process is a stressful and busy time for our clients, so we aim to take at least some of this stress away by making the styling process as simple and streamlined as possible - with a little fun thrown in for good measure. The end result is a happy client , a beautiful home and more often than not a higher sale price.

Our Interior Consulting service focuses on creating spaces for clients that they love, and love to live in. Our Consulting service will transform your home into a truly liveable space, utilising often simple design techniques.

We can help to either refresh your home with small changes, or work with you on the concept and interior finishes of home renovations or new projects. We create spaces that are contemporary, sophisticated and genuinely reflect our client's personality and lifestyle.

Our team of experienced interior designers and stylists use their in-depth knowledge of interior design to create beautiful interiors, tailored for each of our clients.

Amy Stead

  • CREATIVE DIRECTOR (BIO)

    Amy launched her design studio 12 years ago has which evolved into Amazema Interiors, focusing on Property Styling and Interior Design projects within Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Amy took her experience from Commercial Interior Design Projects & Furniture design, and has expanded into Residential Property Design & Styling over the last 9 years.

    Amy believes in design with heart, embedding everything she does with care, love and joy which shows in her work and team. Her aim is to create spaces people love to live in and to create happiness in their lives.

    Her creative success can also be seen through the Amaze By Amy personalised furniture & textiles line along with a list of successful design achievements, awards and exhibitions. Amy began her studies at COFA UNSW (Bachelor of Design, Honours) where she later went on to become a lecturer in the School of Object Design, she has also furthered studies in Textile design in Copenhagen at the Danish Design School and Teaching Interiors at The Sydney Design School.

    Education and the sharing knowledge is a strong theme in Amy’s career which she continues with the mentoring of design students and the opening up of positions for work experience with in her business. Contact Amy on email amy@amazema.com

Kristin Rawson

  • SENIOR STYLIST (BIO)

    Fashion & Interior Stylist Kristin Rawson has a resume that spans two continents, and includes national magazine covers, fashion features and style news; a host of celebrity shoots, consulting for fashion labels and runway shows; and directing advertising campaigns for mega brands.

    Rawson kicked off her career for Australian Fashion & Interior Magazines, although New York was calling. Rawson arrived in Manhattan at the tender age of 24 and landed her dream job: assisting Brana Wolf, the fashion great of American Harper's Bazaar. In that time, she worked regularly with photographers Peter Lindbergh, Steven Miesel, Mario Testino, and Mario Sorrenti. She was quickly promoted to Fashion Editor of Harper's Bazaar and then moved over to Conde Nast to work on Teen Vogue.

    What makes Kristin remarkable is that she has the ability to move seamlessly between demographics, budgets, and trends. Rawson has styled her share of Hollywood royalty: Jennifer Aniston, Blake Lively, Noami Watts, and Milla Jovovich, to name a few. She has contributed to countless magazines, including Glamour (US), Marie Claire (US), Grazia (UK), Lucky (US), Harper’s Bazaar (AUS) and Madison (AUS).

    Moving back to Australia in 2012 Kristin has worked on staff as Fashion Editor of Australian Harper’s Bazaar. With a love of all things Interiors Kristin has recently completed studying Interior Design at the Enmore Design Centre and is focusing her career on this new direction of fitting out residential homes and contributing to Interior Design Magazines. Kristin currently is a contributor to Inside Out, Real Living, Home Beautiful and Belle Magazine.

Shelly Kaufman

  • LEAD SENIOR STYLIST (BIO)

    As one of our Senior Stylists at Amazema shelley is in charge of styling jobs from start to finish and always delivers amazing work with a happy smile and super efficiency.

    After studying for a degree in Marketing Management, Shelly decided to pursue her true passion – Interior Styling. She completed her Interior Design Degree at Sydney Design School, where she was awarded ‘clients choice’ for her major work on a residential interior design project. After graduating and looked to Amazema for work experience, where she quickly learned the ropes. Now a Senior stylist at Amazema, Shelly brings her passion for natural materials and the use of raw timbers as well as her love of indoor plants and greenery to her styling. She loves using colour where she can to inject playfulness and transform a space and is inspired by earthy neutrals, grey and soft pinks.

    Shelley firmly believes in assisting her clients to achieve the best for their property by creating beautiful spaces. She loves the opportunity to be creative on a daily basis and interpreting different client briefs to create functional and liveable design. Jean McKinnon

  • INTERIOR DESIGN & MARKETING (BIO)

    With a strong back ground in Marketing, Jean is our Marketing, Interior Designer and sometimes stylist. With a Masters Degree in Marketing and a Bachelors Degree in Communications, the majority of her career has been spent Marketing for brands in the Fashion and lifestyle sector for brands such as L’Occitane, Von Troska and Oxford Clothing. Looking for a new career direction, Jean studied Interior Design at the Sydney Design School, where she found her true passion in Interior Design.

    After completing her studies in Interior Design, she came on board at Amazema as an intern and was soon offered a permanent position on the Amazema team. Somewhere in the mix Jean started a family and is mum to a little girl, so she divides her time between family life and working at Amazema - where she has found a home her creative passion.

    By combining her strong background in business and marketing and flair for interior design, Jean brings a unique element to the Amazema team. Her passion for interiors shines through into her work, be it through styling, interior design or marketing. Joining the team at Amazema has enabled Jean to showcase her creative skillset and she looks forward to helping further develop and evolve Amazema within real estate styling and beyond. Diana Lovasi

  • OPERATIONS MANAGER (BIO)

    Diana Lovasi Diana Lovasi is our super organised administration manager and super stylist. She keeps us all in check from booking appointments to organising which stylist is on what job (which is a mean feat in itself!) With a strong background in Office Management and project management, Diana also has an interior design flair, having managed building development and design projects from start to finish.

    With a Degree in Economics and Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration, Diana brings her passion for interior design and exceptional organisational skills to the Amazema team. The styling industry is often fast paced and busy, however Diana has taken to the styling world like a fish to water and has become an integral part of the Amazema team. Mekenzie Boylan

  • STYLIST & LEAD INTERIOR DESIGNER (BIO)

    Mekenzie is our jack-of all trades, wonder woman! Her exceptional styling goes hand in hand with her Social Media and Interior Design skills. We love her zest for life and flair for all things beautiful.

    Hailing originally from Sunny Queensland, Mekenzie studied Creative Industries and Business Administration. Once she had completed her studies, she worked as Marketing and Administration Assistant at Bond University. After an amazing year long world adventure across Europe,she came home and started work as a PA for her mum - a well respected Interior Designer. This is where Mekenzie reconnected with her love of Interiors, so she decided to put her money where her mouth is and embark on a Dimploma of Interior Design, which she completed in 2012.

    Once her Dimploma was completed, Mekenzie came to work for Hosking Munro Architects where she was exposed to the many facets of Interior Architecture and Design. Wanting to explore her passion for Interiors further, Mekenzie began working as a Stylist at Amazema and has quickly increased her responsibilities and now manages our Instagram and assists with marketing and really too many other things to count!

    Mekenzie loves creativity and creating. She loves the transformative nature of styling and the end result that comes of all the hard work - lugging boxes and bags of styling items to fill a home. With such a great amount of experience in the creative world at such a young age, Mekenzie is our one to watch, who brings such fantastic creative energy to her work, everyday. CHristie Turner

  • STYLIST (BIO)

    Christie is our resident super mum! After having 3 children, and working as a Primary teacher for many years, Christie felt it was time to follow her true passion – Interiors and colour! So, after completing 2 community college courses in Interior Design and her Cert IV in Interior Decoration at the Sydney Design School, Christie has joined the Amazema team as a stylist.

    Christie loves the creative, fun, experimental and fast paced aspects of styling. The instant gratification and satisfaction of completing a styling job and seeing a space come together is the true reward for Christie, who always brings personality and originality to every job she works on for Amazema. Amanda Bruce

  • ACCOUNTS & OFFICE MANAGER (BIO)

    Amanda is our Accounts genious and all round office managing dream. Together with Diana she organises our accounts and organises our team so we are where we are supposed to be at all times!

    Hailing from a Fashion Background, where she predominantly worked as a Fashion and Accessories Production Manager, Amanda has an eye for fashion and also supreme organisational skills.

    As a mother of 2 boys, Amanda works part time for us in accounts and has become a master at multitasking. Her supreme organisational skills and perfectionist qualities ensure that our styling & design teams run smoothly and efficiently. JacQ Moran

  • STYLIST (BIO)

    With a strong background in Public Relations, Marketing, and experience in tertiary education, government agencies and commercial business, Jacqueline has come to Amazema for a creative sea change. She has been able to combine her communications background with her amazing styling abilities to become an integral part of the Amazema team.

    Hailing from Scotland, Jackie adds a unique European flavour to the our team. Having only recently completed her studies at Sydney Design School, Jacqueline has gained a huge amount of experience in interiors by renovating over 16 houses and recently renovated a cottage in Blackheath. SARAH HARGRAVE

  • HEAD SENIOR STYLING CONSULTANT (BIO)

    Originally from the south of England and borne into an artistic family, Sarah has been passionate about interior decorating all her life, with a love of all things creative, especially interior design, fashion, art, antiques and the environment. She strongly believes in the power our surroundings have on the way we feel. Capturing the emotional connection people experience when they walk into a space they love, is an art she has spent years perfecting.

    Sarah brings a wealth of experience to the Amazema team. She embarked on her career in 1989 after completing a diploma in Interior Decorating in Bath England. Further cementing her knowledge and experience as an apprentice decorator for a successful practice in Tunbridge Wells, working on anything from country cottages, to appartments in London to large stately homes. In 1992 she emigrated from the U.K. to Sydney's northern beaches with her Aussie husband and landed a coveted position with world renowned British interior decorating company Colefax and Fowler. After taking a short break to start a family Sarah began working at Cunninghams Property. At that time styling a property to sell hadn't been developed. Sarah realised this was a lost opportunity finding that people greatly appreciated her expert, practical advise; and so with the support of Cunninghams Property the concept of Property Styling was borne.

    Continuing to grow over recent years with the help of various TV programs, the presentation of a property is now seen as an integral part of the marketing strategy. Sarah established her own property styling company in 1999 and during this time became a monthly contributor to the glossy magazine Country Home Ideas, writing a column covering all things interiors.

    After taking time out from running a small business to concentrate on supporting her three children through their HSC years, Sarah is returning to her life long passion of Property Styling and is very excited to be part of the talented Amazema team. Contact Sarah on email sarah@amazema.com

BELINDA MIDDLETON

  • STYLIST & MARKETING (BIO)

    Having worked for over 10 years in the magazine industry managing advertising clients, projects & events across titles such as real living, Belle, House & Garden, Gourmet Traveller & Fete magazine - creating beautiful aesthetics is something that comes second nature to Belinda.

    Recent years has seen Belinda guide & mentor many aspiring students at the International School of Colour & Design, as they embark on their own journey of studying Interior Design, Styling, Surface Design & Colour; of which Belinda has studied herself. This opportunity at the school also allowed Belinda to delve into her true passion of styling & design, throughout the many events that were created & held at the campus.

    With a love for all things interiors & the desire to always hunt down the latest in homewares, Belinda co-founded the store The Depot & Co. A curated, online space which features a collection of thoughtfully gathered homewares from must-have designers & makers, an edit of products to create a home that reflects you.

    Alongside her career, Belinda & her husband James have renovated many homes together creating spaces that reflect their own natural style & vision. Some of these homes have graced the pages of both real living & Fete magazine. With an innate eye for detail & the desire to create beautiful and practical spaces, the love of renovating has become somewhat of an addiction for them both having recently renovated their own home in Balgowlah.
